I looked into the mirror beside my bed.

I sat on the edge of my bed and took out a small heart-shaped pendant from the table-drawer.
I stared at the words that were engraved on the heart.

I stood up and wiped my tears away. I walked to my closet and changed my clothes.

I decided to wear a plain gray shirt, jeans and a coat.
I put on the necklace, grabbed my bag, and keys and walked out the door.

Its been a year since Gilbert left. And up to now, he still hasn't come back.
He never told me why, but ever since he sent me that text about not coming  home, he never texted or called me again.
